PLAYROOM DESIGN

The client’s brief for this lovely playroom was to be “calming, soothing, relaxing, to have sufficient storage space as well as seating using soft colours”

Defnitely a  dream project for  DESIGN K. The colours selected was mostly nude colours, light wood finishes, white finishes and combined with accent colours, i.e. blue ottomans and cinnamon coloured scatter cushions.

Mostly all furniture were custom design, i.e. the bunkbed which was constructed in solid wood, the seating benches, round table as well as wall desk. All the designs were created in 3D in SKETCHUP for approval by the client.

The round table in the centre of the room was designed to incorporate storage buckets.

Beautiful long grey seat cushions were added on the benches.

These benches provided ample storage for all toys and play items. A extra large off-white rug was placed in the room, which covered almost all of the room

Modern contemporary accent furniture pieces and accessories were sourced from international brands  to create the final look for the playroom, i.e. the elephant chair, blue and grey elephant chairs.

We also added foam upholstered mattresses below the bunkbed to create a reading nook.

The white linen teepee was accessorised with a beautiful bunting flags which added another playfull element to the room

Unique hand made wooden house blocks painted in lovely soft colours were added as  styling elements.
