More exposure on the amazing Little Majlis specialist online market for handmade and artisan products, marketed by Gulf–based artists, designers, cooks and crafters.
Little Majlis encourages buying handmade and in doing so, supporting local talent and the region’s growing arts scene, as well as promoting small business. The boutique shops are independent and individually run. The products on sale at Little Majlis are generally not commercially produced and many are handmade right here in the GCC.
In a market overflowing with mass produced imports, Little Majlis is designed to enable the local creative community to find a niche, start and grow their small business, promote their work and connect with buyers.
Little Majlis offers something unique to consumers in that they’re giving them the opportunity to find that special thing that is not available in the shopping malls. Although they accept artisan goods from all regions, they’re particularly focused on promoting locally designed and made goods, which are produced in small quantities and many by hand.
Some of my artwork to purchase on this lovely online market are shown below. This was the first time I ventured into creating art for kids rooms and was really so much fun with all the latest beautiful kids room themes going around at the moment. I had these raw clean blocks of solid natural wood staring at me in my studio for a while, and in the back of my mind I knew I wanted to create something cute, simple and contemporary. These artworks are painted on solid wooden blocks, and can either be hung or just placed on a shelf – Little Majlis
